Here are some pictures from the Tennessee Tea Party visit to the Capitol this morning. They were taken during the right wing extremist red-meat speeches given by Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey (R-Blountville) and Senator Mae Beavers (R-Mt. Juliet), two of the Co-Prime Sponsors of the Tennessee Health Freedom Act.
Did Sen. Beavers really say to the “crowd” that this bill would allow them to choose to keep their private health insurance? Can’t they do that now?
I will try to remember more of what was said but mostly all I heard was “blah blah blah.”
We at Liberadio(!) hope the TNGOP continues to follow the leadership of Lt. Governor Ramsey and Sen. Mae Beavers. Please, oh please, oh please. Because while you’re doing that we’ve be over here explaining that affordable health care coverage for your kids without having to worry about pre-existing conditions is right around the corner.
This poor guy was confused. He thought they said “Pirate Party” .

UPDATE II: Another eye witness account – this picture and a quote:
I just took this picture this morning with my phone. It was about 10:45 AM and the guy at the podium was speaking to “everyone”- at one point he said, “And it won’t stop with healthcare…next we’ll get immigration, cap and trade, education!”

It would be informative to see how many times that the Sullivan County Courts (and other county courts within Northeast Tennessee) have contracted with Ron Ramsey Auction and Real Estate to conduct court ordered auction sales of properties…
With regard to Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey blowing hard about his “10th Amendment” anti-health reform lawsuit on the campaign trail, Ron does seem to be awful quite about the cost of the Ramsey 10th Amendment Folly to the Tennessee taxpayers…perhaps you all could press the office of the Attorney General and Reporter for the State of Tennessee and ask them for an estimate of how many millions of taxpayer dollars will be spent to follow through on the Lt. Governor’s 10th Amendment lawsuit through the federal courts.
Better yet, moonglow, let’s allow them to have affordable health care and medicare like every other American. I think it’s called positive reinforcement.
I say deny healthcare coverage and including Medicare to these poor deluted obese Tea Party people.
Ron Ramsey owns a auction company in Blountville TN and he is making a killing selling off forclosed homes in East Tennessee. What a good Gov he would make……….
Extremists?
You’ve got us confused, my friend, with the people who made death threats against our elected officials for voting their conscience.
You’ve got us confused with the people who want to purify their political party.
You’ve got us confused with the people who supported cutting taxes while fight two wars.
You’ve got us confused with the people who supported deregulation the banking industry to the point where we did have a financial meltdown.
Ya got pictures at the top of this post if you need a reminder of what they look like (no, not the empty chairs — the people.)
Us? Hell, we’re just the common-sense crowd that wants people to not go bankrupt or die from lack of health care. Pull up a chair. You can probably find some empty ones over by the State Capitol.
Hey Jason, were you worried about our credit status during the years 2000 – 2008?
[...] Tea Party fringe start to distance themselves???? Perhaps the 3 GOP front-runners, Bill Haslam, Ron Ramsey, Zach Wamp would like to answer that. Personally, I don’t see Wamp distancing himself, but [...]
No, everyone else was hard at work getting ready for all the new taxes that will have to come in place to afford this new expenditure and also when their premuims go up to make up the difference and when the federal deficit soars to new heights and we eventually lose our AAA credit staus which will cause a financial meltdown. But hey, people like you dont have the intelligence to think about stuff like that.
You see, this is why I switched from being a Democrat to an independent. Crazy left wing extremists like you guys have taken over the Democratic Party and then you make fun of the supposed crazy right wing extremists. Um hello, pot meet kettle. LOL!
I bet Steve Steffens’ soirees are stellar. And yay for Bart Gordon. I think the people in these pics are the same 12 who kept calling Lincoln Davis’ office.
Don’t forget “Promote the general welfare,” Christian!
No worries, Goldie. Both Barney Franks bite. And mine does it literally! Chompers!
There were more people at Bart Gordon’s office in Murfreesboro celebrating the “Yes” vote Gordon made to help healthcare pass through Congress.
I have parties that are much better attended than that. And WE DON’T SERVE TEA, EITHER!
BEHOLD! America’s supposed majority against health care reform and the few left standing with America’s insurance lobby and their Republican friends who vow to continue attacking our inalienable rights to LIFE, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Awww, it’s ok Barney Frank! We won’t let them say mean things about you like they did to the grown-up Barney Frank!
[...] Mancini is having a hard time hearing the tea [...]
