Michael and his parrot Gwen, make me sick. They are so hateful, but what right wing nut job talk show host isnt?
What kills me Mary is that the idiot that said your show would bring him pitchforks and torches is missing the big picture. Nashville chose Obama over McCain like the majority of this country did. Our Local neo-con talking heads are completely out of touch. They lost. Just like last night, victory was ours again. Delgiorno, Valentine and Gill all but begged their listeners to vote yes for english only and they were squashed. The tides have changed. Nashville pulled the poo out of its ears and has realized that liberal and left are not dirty words no matter how many times the talking heads in the radio try to use them as insults. Your show needs to be on 5 days a week to give Nashvilles airwaves just a little slice of fairness.

The sad truth is that Nashville and Tennessee at large is not in agreement with the rest of the country. And, instead of thinking that perhaps their political/religious/cultural inclinations are incorrect, these Tennesseans dig in all the more, crank up the denial button to 11, and continue to defend their very indefensible views of life and the world.

I just happened to be listening to that broadcast today, and I can understand why you would be frustrated. At a time when Obama has 80%+ approval ratings, the host is saying he wants Obama to “shut up,” and he ridicules the fact that various sources are putting Obama on a pedestal (not saying that pedestals for public figures are inappropriate, but that Obama shouldn’t be on them). Not only is the show childish, but it is also nonsensical and out of sync with most of America.

At least the weird business dynamics that make DelGiornio’s show viable do not mean that his views are representative of the views of people in general.
