That said, I know David and Patricia quite well, having worked with David and his film, Uncounted, since January. He's been traveling across the country for the better part of a year - mostly on his own dime - using the movie as a tool to get the word out about the problems inherent in our election systems. It's a great film and really breaks down not only the problems with electronic voting machines but recurring the systematic disenfranchisement as well. What never ceases to amaze me is the reaction the film gets from audiences. Let me tell you, Americans do not like it when other Americans have their right to vote infringed upon. I'll let David speak to what happened to him on election day, but I can tell you that whatever did happen, there was nothing self-serving or malicious about it. When I saw your post on how David and Patricia Earnhardt handled their incident, I thought what a poor example to Nashville area voters. I truly thought they were smarter than that. But maybe all they intended to do was promote their movie rather than make sure their vote counted and that other people wouldn't also vote on a machine they knew to be broken.
