Posted by Liberadio(!) on July 1, 2008 under Uncategorized |

In July of 2004, Estelle Richardson, an inmate at the CCA Metro Detention Facility was found unresponsive after 4 CCA guards had forcibly removed her from a solitary confinement cell. A few hours later Estelle died. She had a fractured skull, 4 broken ribs and a damaged liver. The Davidson County Medical examiner ruled her death a homicide and her murder still remains one of Nashville’s unresolved cases.

On Monday, we interviewed prison rights activist, Denver Schimming, about the case.

Tonight, July 1st at 7:30pm, at the CCA Metro Detention Facility (5115 Harding Place,Nashville, TN 37211), there is a candlelight vigil to remember Estelle Richardson as individuals continue to seek truth and justice for her.
