Mother Teresa and Rev. King are on my list, along with Gen. Marshall and Lech Walesa, to show a representative sample of people who received the award. I didn’t want to be accused of cherry-picking only the undeserving recipients like Annan, Arafat, and the Briand-Kellogg crew to show that the award is worthless. That’s not entirely true since there actually have been some deserving recipients.

However, sadly, the award has haphazardly been given to the good, along with the bad and the ugly.

So why are they on your list?

Just because you don’t like what he says or does, doesn’t mean it has no value to others.

The two award recipients you mention (Mother Teresa and Rev. Martin Luther King), along with Gen. Marshall, Dr. Schweizer, and Lech Walesa, are exceptional standouts. Their excellence raises a very lackluster stew to the level of mediocrity.
