Conservatives like Peggy Noonan have their knickers in a twist because President Bush is impugning their patriotism for not agreeing with him on comprehensive immigration reform.
Noonan’s all in a huff because the “president has taken to suggesting that opponents of his immigration bill are unpatriotic–they ‘don’t want to do what’s right for America.’” She asks, seemingly with a straight face, “Why would they speak so insultingly, with such hostility, of opponents who are concerned citizens?”
