How About Some Fries With That “Stay the Course?”

Summary: Yesterday when asked “what’s your prayer for the country?” President Bush said, “My prayer is peace. My prayer is that this world be peaceful so that children can grow up understanding the benefits of freedom.” If we were President Bush we’d ask for something that might actually get some results. Like, forgiveness for being a bald-faced hypocrite. And the latest from the officers in Iraq is that resistance to deadlines is weakening. Good to know. Now can we start a dialogue about a plan for Iraq without being accused of wanting to “cut and run?” No? OK, then what you got? Cheney and Rumsfeld get to stay through 2008? Nice. How about some fries with that “stay the course?” And you do know that it’s Harold Ford, Jr. and not Bob “Stay the” Corker who’s excited about discussion and ideas and dialogue, right? (31:12 14MB)
