“Do the machines print out a receipt that I can verify and then deposit in a locked box?” I asked the Election Officer.
“No,” she replied. “But there’s a group in town that’s fighting for that kind of thing.”
“Is there a suggestion box or complaint form I can fill out, you know, to bring this to the Election Commission’s attention?” I asked.
“Yes!” she said excitedly, “There’s a complaint form.”
“Thank you for this,” I said.
“Don’t thank me,” she chided, “It’s your right.”
I filled out the one page form and requested a voter-verifiable paper receipt by the November election. It took 5 minutes. You should fill one out too.
