Follow the Abramoff

“Jack Abramoff will plead guilty to three felony counts in Washington today as part of a settlement with federal prosecutors, ending an intense, months-long negotiation over whether the Republican lobbyist would testify against his former colleagues, people involved with the case said.” Read more…

Unlike members of the mob,* there is no code of honor that bounds politicians and lobbyists from singing like canaries once caught in a web of financial improprieties. We should know in a few days or weeks who Jack Abramoff’s plea deal will effect. It’ll be like Christmas all over again!

I want to hear how the apologists stick up for Abramoff and Delay now? Many good Republicans have been besmirched by the association of this man (Abramoff) to their party.

They’ll find a way, I’m sure. The good news is that with each new scandal and bungle and revelation of truth, the herd of apologists thins. There will always be a core group who won’t be able to stop making excuses for this poor excuse of an administration but they’ll end up a very lonely bunch.
