A little help, please
During the summer and fall of ‘04, as we were trying to spread the joy of participatory democracy by convincing 18 to 24 year-olds to register to vote, Kenny graciously, and with a smile and a nod, let us move freely (and I mean no cover charge. ever.) in and out of the Exit/In to do our “vote or die” business. With his help, we registered quite a few kids that summer. Thanks, Kenny!
Kenny Highers, who has been the doorman at the Exit/In for years and years, severely broke his leg in December during a diabetic seizure while working on Elliston Place. At this juncture, he has undergone multiple procedures including bone removal, plate and screw implants, bone graft, muscle graft, and skin graft ***insert woozy here***. Between medical bills and living expenses, Kenny is going to need a great deal of monetary assistance.
Exit/In will be hosting 4 nights of benefits; January 3rd-6th. Exit/In, 2208 Elliston Place 321-3340. Donations welcome. More info here.
