Of Apes and Men

I wish our President really understood what a theory (as in the “Theory” of Evolution) is. (Hint: there are “facts” involved). It would certainly keep him from further blurring the line between church and state. If you’re keeping score at home: Senator Frist, 1 - President Bush, 0.

Another Hint: Mr. President, when Bill O’Reilly agrees with you then you are clearly are the wrong side of an argument.

I hate the fact that these social conservatives keep trying to shove their belief system down our collective throats. A novel idea: if you are so gung-ho about intelligent design and creationism, teach your children in your prespective churches. I think it’s all about conformity with these people. Until we are all mindless drones that think alike, that haven’t “won.”

Make that ‘they’ haven’t won. I should really proofread my comments.

“Intelligent Design” vs. Evolution is not a real debate. It is just a cynical tactic to weaken and discredit science. Those who benefit monetarily and politically from fundamentalist religion have decided to attack science, because they see it as the greatest threat to the proliferation of their beliefs. Science is a method, yet, they misrepresent it as a system beliefs. They use pseudo science speech to explain their own fantasies, and since most people don’t understand science, they are easily persuaded or at least confused.

By the way, I love your show.
